Education-based programs allow PAL volunteers to education PAL kids in various life skills.

Reading Mentoring Program: Volunteers work with PAL Kids to improve their reading skills and build a positive relationship with them. After School Cops Out on Location (ASCOOL): This is an eight-week program targeting different ethnic or cultural groups to develop an understanding of Police Officers and the Police Department. This program also provides a positive and supportive relationship with Minneapolis Police Officers. Law Enforcement Explorers Program: High school age kids explore the possibility of pursuing a career in law enforcement. Hands-on training give these PAL kids an up-close look at a law enforcement career.
